FAQs
1. Do I need a doctor's referral for treatment?
No, it is not necessary for you to get a doctors referral for us to treat you, however you should contact your health insurance company as they may need a doctor’s referral in order to reimburse the fee for your treatment.
2. Can I claim the cost of treatment back from my medical insurer?
At CMK Therapy, we are registered with most major health insurance companies and will therefore be able to claim the money for your treatment on your behalf. However, we advise that you contact your medical insurance company prior to your treatment to check you are covered.
It is important that you bring all your insurance details with you on your first visit to CMK Therapy, including your membership and authorisation numbers.
3. How long do the treatments last?
Most treatments will last approximately 30 minutes.
4. How do I pay for my treatment?
If you are covered by health insurance, then we can claim the payment for your treatment on your behalf. However if you are not covered by health insurance, then we can accept payment by cash or debit/credit card.
5. Do I have to have a sports injury to get treatment?
No, we treat all types of injury and pain; most of our clients do not have sporting injuries.
6. What should I wear to my first treatment session?
If it is a lower limb problem please bring a pair of shorts. If it is for your upper body, we may need to see your back and shoulder blades, therefore please dress accordingly.
7. What do I need to bring with me on my first visit?
Please bring with you any letters or x-rays from your doctor or consultant and any past information that may be relevant.
8. How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required will vary depending on your injury and although our aim is to help people regain their full potential fitness level, we do not believe in over treating patients and will only advise you to have the number of treatments that your injury or pain requires.
Your therapist will discuss a treatment plan with you during your first consultation, which may give you an idea of how many treatments you will require. Sometimes people just have one treatment, and occasionally people with serious injuries or chronic pain will need to receive treatment over several months.
9. Where do I park and then go when I arrive?
CMK Therapy is located behind the CMK Medical Centre, within the health complex on the Bradwell Common Boulevard. There are customer parking spaces in the complex. Once you have parked, walk round to the back of the building where you will see a sign directing you to the CMK Therapy clinic, once you enter there is the option of stairs or a lift to take you to the first floor where reception is located.
