On site Physiotherapy services
For only a few hours per week and with minimum set up costs, CMK Physiotherapists can provide Physiotherapy on-site at your business. We understand that every business is different and therefore the services that we provide on-site can be tailored to your specific needs.
On-site physiotherapy has the advantage of improved communication, better understanding of the workplace, convenience and less time spent out of the office for employees having treatment.
This service can be paid for by the company or by private medical insurance – we are registered with most private medical insurance companies.
Off site Physiotherapy services
Not all businesses are of a size that can justify having an on-site occupational physiotherapy service. These businesses can have the option of ‘ad hoc’ referral to our clinic in CMK. Here there is also the benefit of using our rehabilitation gym.
How does the service work?
- Staff with musculoskeletal disorders can be referred directly to CMK Therapy without the need to see a GP.
- The employee will be examined and assessed within 24 hours of referral
- A report on your employee’s condition, including any recommendations will be provided as part of the service.
A limit can be placed on the number of appointments each employee is allowed to make.
We offer a host of services on a consultancy basis.
- One-off work place assessments for individuals who are off sick with musculoskeletal problems
- Pre-employment screening to check a potential employee is physically fit to do the job in question. This can save the company a great deal of time, effort and money in the long-term.
You do not have to be an existing customer to contact us.
This is a return to work scheme for employees who have been off work with musculoskeletal disorders. Clinical guidelines state that they should return to work as soon as possible.
A return to work scheme would involve interviewing and examining the employee, assessing their condition, liaising with the manager/HR department and whoever is in charge of their medical condition e.g. GP or consultant, then implementing and overseeing an agreed strategy between all parties for a safe and speedy return to work.
General training and education
Basic assessment
We offer a basic assessment, which fulfils the standard requirements under the DSE regulations 1992 (revised 2002). Plus, it provides information on good practice for individuals to help reduce the risk of MSDs associated with their work station.
Advanced assessment
For those employees who are off work or suffering discomfort at a work station we can carry out a detailed risk assessment, which includes a report. As physiotherapists we will also be able to identify the cause of the problem that is affecting the employee, whether it be their posture, work-station or another cause.
These are one hour workshops on preventing back pain and Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).
They focus on the most important and costly work-related injuries and are designed to make employees aware of the risk factors of back pain and RSI.
Many companies produce a manual handling training package that they use for all businesses. CMK Therapy tailors the manual handling training to fit each individual company. We will come in and look around your company premises before the training to get an insight of what is required, as we recognise that no two jobs are the same. Our manual handling trainers will make sure we address the specific needs of your company and workforce.
