![]()
Mark is a very experienced Physiotherapist with a wide background in treating musculoskeletal injuries. He has four main areas of clinical interest:
1. Back and neck pain
Back and neck pain has accounted for nearly fifty percent of the conditions Mark has treated over the last five years - from acute neck pain to post surgical back rehabilitation. Treatment involves a combination of manipulation, mobilisation and soft tissue massage, plus a combination of core stability, clinical Pilates and general strengthening exercises to help reduce further reoccurrence.
2. Sports injuries
Mark previously worked for six seasons at Northampton Saints Rugby Club. He then worked at Batchwood Tennis Centre, which is an LTA high performance centre and he is now working at Gosling Tennis Centre that has the same status. Mark has worked with all types of sports injuries from the recreational sportsman to the elite professional athlete.
3. Chronic Pain
Mark has worked with chronic pain patients for over eight years. See ‘Chronic Pain’.
4. Work-related injuries
Mark has experience of working with large corporations on site as a Physiotherapist and Ergonomist and also treating individual patients with work related injuries back at the clinic. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health Ergonomics from Surrey University, which gives him a very good understanding of how to prevent such injuries and to help restore workers back to health as quickly as possible. See ‘Occupational Health’.
In his spare time Mark likes to play tennis and go to the gym and he also watches a lot of rugby.
