Mark Conway

Having graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1995, Mark has become a very experienced Physiotherapist with a wide background in treating musculoskeletal injuries.

 

Having spent many years working within other clinics, in 2008 Mark decided to open CMK Therapy, which is now a very successful physiotherapy clinic.

 

Mark previously worked for six seasons at Northampton Saints Rugby Club. He then worked at Batchwood Tennis Centre, which is an LTA high performance centre and he is now working at Gosling Tennis Centre that has the same status. Mark has worked with all types of sports injuries from the recreational sportsman to the elite professional athlete.

 

Mark has experience of working with large corporations on site as a Physiotherapist and Ergonomist and also treating individual patients with work related injuries back at the clinic. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health Ergonomics from Surrey University.

 

In his spare time Mark likes to play tennis and go to the gym and he also watches a lot of rugby.

 

 

 

Sergio Gomez-Cuesta

As well as being a physiotherapist, Sergio is also a strength and conditioning coach and an LTA tennis coach. He is also highly experienced in the area of rehabilitation.

 

In his masters degree Sergio majored in applied biomechanics. He has worked extensively over the last 12 years with national and international athletes, with a special interest in musculoskeletal disorders, rehabilitation, tennis injuries, tennis technique and injury prevention, video motion analysis and return to high-level sport.

 

Sergio was the Director of Sports Science and Medicine and the Head of Strength and Conditioning of Batchwood LTA High Performance Centre from 1999 to 2007. He has also written tennis scientific research, sports science articles and presented in workshops and conferences.

 

As well as being part of the team at CMK Therapy, Sergio works for Gosling LTA High Performance Centre. Here he provides physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for a number of LTA tennis clubs and biomechanical/technical support to elite players and performance coaches.

 

Surprisingly, in Sergio's spare time he likes to play tennis!

 

 

 

Kate Hayter

Kate has been a qualified physiotherapist for 21 years gaining her associateship in physiotherapy in 1988.

 

She has specialised in outpatient physiotherapy since 1994 and has an interest in the treatment of spinal problems and knees particularly.

 

She has completed all the courses in Muscle Energy Techniques and is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists.

 

She also works in a clinical lead role within the MK PCT alongside a consultants, podiatrists and physiotherapists.

 

Kate is a busy mum and enjoys the outdoor life in the garden, on her allotment or walking her rather active springer spaniel!

 

 

 

Ashia Jamal

Ashia graduated in South Africa with a four year Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy in 1977. She has a broad based experience in Private Practice for over 25 years. She has lived in South Africa, Spain and the United Kingdom.

 

She has served on the National Executive Committee of the South African Society of Physiotherapy and has represented the profession in South Africa locally, Nationally and Internationally, and has attended various World Confederation Council Meetings and Congress in Bulawayo, Cape Town, London, Washington and Barcelona.

 

She has developed a global perspective of physiotherapy and remains commited to ongoing Continuing Professional Development and to evidence-based practice and thereby maintains a high quality care and standard of practice.

 

Ashia has developed special interests in neuro-musculoskeltal problems, including spinal and peripheral problems and rehabilitation of sports injuries. She has completed post graduate courses in Acupuncture and in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy.

 

She believes in thorough assessment and treatment based on the biopsychosocial model and this is tailored to meet individual patient needs.

 

 

 

Rachel Nakash

Rachel graduated as a physio in 1991 from Coventry University and from early on in her career specialised in musculoskeletal injuries and sports injuries. For the past 10 years Rachel has worked in private practice in Northamptonshire during which time she has had a couple of babies and completed PhD in Health Sciences. Rachel is a keen advocate of evidence based practice and incorporates her research knowledge gained from her PhD into her clinical work to ensure that the patient receives effective and informative treatment.

 

When not working, Rachel enjoys motherhood of two princesses! She also enjoys playing tennis, reading, escaping to the pub and dreaming of winning the X Factor.

 

 

 

Katie Andrews

Physiotherapist

 

Since graduating from the University of Birmingham, Katie as worked for several NHS trusts and completed several post-graduate courses specialising in outpatient physiotherapy.

 

Katie has a strong interest in Pilates and as a member of the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) she hopes to gain full certification in the near future.

 

In her spare time, Katie enjoys playing tennis, running and is also a keen snowboarder.

 

 

 

Sandra Ah-Peng

 

Acupuncturist

 

Sandra is a UK trained acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council. As well as practising at the clinic she also offers home visits.

 

Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including musculo-skeletal complaints. Although Sandra's practice is general, she specialises in treating pain, stress and pregnancy.
