Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

osteopathy treatmentOsteopathy is a complementary therapy that looks at the whole of the body regardless of where the symptoms are and focuses on structural and mechanical problems through diagnosis and treatment.

Once the Osteopath has diagnosed the problem, they will use soft tissue massage, mobilisation and manipulation of joints in order to stimulate the body’s own healing abilities. Following treatment, patients not only feel reductions in pain, but can also experience an increase in energy, better mobility and a general improvement in well-being.

What conditions do Osteopaths treat?

Osteopaths are well known for treating back and neck problems, however their treatments are effective on all parts of the body. The Osteopath assesses the biomechanics of your body in order to identify the cause of the problem that you are experiencing.

Osteopaths work very closely with other therapists including Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Pilates teachers and Rehabilitation Specialists in order to provide the best all round treatment for your body.
