Suffering from Hip Pain?
Many people in their late forties and early fifties will start to develop stiff hips. Most are told that it's just the aging process and they have early arthritis or wear and tear of the joint and nothing can be done outside of taking painkillers and resting. Fortunately, this is not the case and physiotherapy can help. Due to our sedentary lifestyles many people develop very stiff hips and we see this, not only with hip pain, but back pain as well.
How we can help
There are many reasons for hip pain and after gaining correct diagnosis an individual treatment programme can be planned. We have many techniques that are very successful in improving restricted hip movement, including massage and stretching of the tight muscles around the hip, lower back and pelvis or the manipulation of the hip joint and lower back. Either way the joints will move more freely and with reduced pain.
When pain has been reduced and hip movement is restored, we then recommend an exercise programme so you can self-manage your rehabilitation with stretching and strengthening exercises.
